I was able to get my SCX-4100 working on a clean install. The only thing you need is the scanner driver, but it seems this file is not available on Samsung's support site. Windows 10 will install the Samsung Universal Print Driver 3 when you connect the printer, which works for printing. I had the Windows 7 scanner driver on my backup drive.

Then run file ' download.bat' on the computer from the folder you downloaded9. After running this file, on the printers’ display should appear instructions:DATA RECEIVING FLASH ERASING FLASHPROGRAMMING CHECKSUMMING DOWNLOAD OK10. If everything was done correctly, the printer should restart11.
The reprogramming of the firmware is completed. Restart the printer12. The last thing left to do is to reset the counters - in order to do that, go via menu to the following section:Maintenance Reset All Settings OKAttention!!The firmware reprogramming file is not protected against any updates from the Samsung website! Do not download any updates yourself!
